Mark Baer

Mark W. Baer is the middle of three children born to Ralph H and Dena W Baer and has been an attorney for nearly thirty-five years – and a skier for a whole lot more. Growing up in NH, Mark was witness to, and along with his brother was, a beta tester in the 1960s, for some of the prototypes of the Brown Box which was the first modern multi video game unit. The Brown Box was later licensed to The Magnavox Corporation that in turn churned out the Magnavox Odyssey, debuting in 1972, thereby marking the start of the modern video game industry. Mark travelled with and assisted his father for the last twenty years of Ralph’s life and, as a result, gained a large and deep sense of appreciation for not only video games and video games history, but the marvel and miracle of human ingenuity and creativity.
